Podium ("Podium," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by John Gilchrist, a sole proprietor based in Sunnyvale, California, USA, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Podium (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
We use your information to provide and synchronize the Service; to process your purchase and manage your access; to authenticate you; to communicate with you (for example, sign-in links, support replies, and service notices); to maintain security; and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers who help us run Podium, only as needed and under their terms:

The Service is operated in the United States, and your information is stored on our providers' infrastructure. By using the Service you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and content by emailing john@podiummusic.net. We will delete or anonymize your information, subject to any legal or record-keeping requirements.
We use measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and database access controls (including row-level security, so you can only access your own data). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep backups of important charts.
The Service is intended for adults (18 and older), primarily educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you enter information about third parties — such as students — into your charts, you are responsible for having the authority and any required consent to do so and for complying with applicable laws and school policies (for example, FERPA). We process that content only to provide the Service to you; we do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended), including the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We use essential browser cookies and local storage to sign you in and run the application. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
